m.s. RedCherries is a citizen of the Northern Cheyenne Nation. A graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, her debut, mother, was the winner of the American Book Award and a finalist for the National Book Award.

She has received support and fellowships from Hedgebrook, Sewanee Writers’ Conference, Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) and Vermont Studio Center.

She currently teaches in the at the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
